They have various descriptions as well like low-compression, titanium core, soft long, hard XLs, VIs, Ultras, Tours, Premiers and so on. Get recommendations from your friends or superiors who also play golf or from your local dealers before buying your balls. You have to tell them what kind of game you are playing and what you want to achieve. Don't just limit yourself as well to just one brand. Allow yourself to experiment by trying other brands.

In aiming for a good game, do what Tiger Woods does best - hitting the ball longer. Woods, though only weighing 180 pounds, can hit the ball 20 yards longer than the average tour player. If you've been playing golf for some time now, you should aim to add yards to your tee shots.
