Putt for dough!

With the emphasis on improving driving skills to hit farther and farther, people may have already forgotten the saying, “drive for show, putt for dough!” Putting is the most tangible way of either winning or losing the battle to achieve par. Driving ranges are sprouting up all over, but putting courses are offered mostly as an afterthought. So, if you really want to improve your game, then spend time practicing your putt. Learn to read the grain of the greens. Appreciate natural slopes and see how your ball behaves. Center your line with the putter so that you have less drag and more roll. By putting more effort on your putt, you might actually shave off a stroke or two!
