Halloween the movie

If you are a movie buff, especially a horror movie fan, surely you have heard about the up and coming Rob Zombie movie - Halloween the movie. The movie is well anticipated by horror movie fans all over and is generating record amounts of hype mainly due to the movie’s director Rob Zombie but is also generating a lot of excitement among fans of the original Halloween movie from 1978.

Rob Zombie has made a name for himself as a leading heavy metal singer and has become quite famous for his passion for horror films which eventually led to his recently new career move into film directing. I love a good horror movie but I must admit I am not that much into the kind of chainsaw hardcore movies with the dark and bloody themes. In fact my all time favorite movie actually kind of fringes on the horror genre – IT by Stephen King.

The thing is that I prefer movies that are more about story than about horror and gore. But from what I know of the plot of Halloween the movie, it looks like there’s not much to worry about. The story follows a young boy who kills his entire family on a Halloween night when he was only 10. After spending most of his life in a psychiatric hospital, he manages to escape 17 years later – just in time for Halloween. We’re going to have to wait for the movie to fine out what happens next…
