Best IT Companies to Work For

In an information age, IT experts are in demand—but can companies give them just compensation? Maybe these are, and we’re not just talking about free coffee. Computerworld conducts an annual survey of the best IT companies to work for. The criteria includes career development, employee benefits, salaries that at least match (and sometimes exceed) industry standard, and diversity. The survey is now on its 14th year.

So far, 5 companies lead the pack:. The “best” of the best is Quicken Loans, followed by the University of Miami, and Sharp Health Care. The Capital Group and the Mitre Corporation follow.

Surprisingly, employees didn’t just praise them for their regular salary increases, but benefits like work/life balance and flexible work hours. Yes, even IT geeks need lives.
