The Future is Here

I remember reading Bill Gates's book "The road ahead" about ten years ago with the technology guru's take on how the internet and information revolution should affect our lives in the future. Well guess what the future is here and the internet is already long a commonplace thing. However some of this predictions seem to have not come true yet - until now that is. I remember he devoted an entire chapter on how the internet will revolutionize our children's education (as well as our own) with distance learning and digital white boards. Well distance learning has taken it's time but that may be due to some technological limitations that have only recently been solved. The video conferencing company Life Size now offers a fully high definition distant learning solution that can offer students in any location access to the best teachers and latest learning material. I guess it is safe to say, the future is here.
